The soundBarn announces soundBarn Press
The soundBarn is pleased to announce soundBarn Press-- a new project of The soundBarn. soundBarn Press will complement and further the commitment of The soundBarn to new and experimental forms and emerging voices by publishing experimental writings and poetry by associates of the soundBarn and related others.
soundBarn Press will inaugurate its publications with May 08/ Feb 10 -- poetry writings from soundBarn member and founder Thomas Lail. This is the first publishing of Lail’s poetic writing. His poems, like his other works in sound and collage, combine and juxtapose fragmentary glances into arcing structures. They are populated with history, ideas and stolen fragments of the everyday. Thomas Lail is a musician and artist whose works have been shown nationally and internationally. Lail is Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Hudson Valley Community College, SUNY, Troy, New York.
Forthcoming publications from soundBarn Press include poetry by musician/visual artist/writer and founding member of rock band Sonic Youth, Lee Ranaldo and poetry/writings by artist James Cullinane.
